Dan Neramit was a family amusement park beside Phahonyothin Road near Lat Phrao in Bangkok.
It opened on 29 January 1976 with seven rides on a 33-rai site, then expanded to around 30 attractions. A fairy-tale area and the castle now most closely associated with the park arrived in July 1986.
The park closed permanently on 28 May 2000 after its site lease expired. Its fairy-tale castle survived on the original grounds, remaining a landmark long after the rides disappeared.

Significance
Dan Neramit brought rides, gardens, performances, parades and fantasy scenery to Bangkok families, with attractions for children, teenagers and adults. For many visitors, its fairy-tale setting became one of Bangkok's most memorable childhood attractions.
As part of Thailand’s early generation of permanent urban amusement parks, it combined imported rides with family entertainment in a growing city. Its operators later opened the larger Dream World in 1993.
Founding and Site
- Cinema and entertainment businessman Maitree Kittiparaporn founded Dan Neramit.
- His daughter Pannin Kittiparaporn later became managing director and helped expand its rides, themed areas and family programming.
- The park occupied a leased 33-rai site beside Phahonyothin Road near the Lat Phrao intersection, which eventually limited further expansion.
Park Experience and Identity
- Magic Land was its documented English alias, while the Thai slogan ‘สนุกสุดแสน เที่ยวแดนเนรมิต’ became another identifier.
- The year-round park mixed age-specific rides with gardens, photograph areas, live shows and fantasy parades for full-day family visits.
- The expanded fairy-tale area and familiar castle arrived in July 1986, so castle photographs do not show the original 1976 configuration.
Chronology, Closure and Survival
- Some accounts give 1975 as the opening year, but management evidence and Pannin Kittiparaporn’s farewell statement support 29 January 1976.
- Dan Neramit belonged to Thailand’s first generation of permanent urban amusement parks, but Happyland is documented from 1973; management’s narrower description was ‘first full-scale’ amusement park.
- The park’s final day followed the end of its site lease. Some rides were reportedly transferred to Dream World, although no verified ride-by-ride inventory has been located.
- The castle remained on its original site and featured in a projection-mapping event advertised from 27 December 2025 to 31 January 2026.
